Grady East Point Medical Center

Project Description:

The Grady Health Center was planned to serve as a “Supercenter”.  It houses a full complement of primary care services as well as rotating specialist, which will be determined by patient-defined needs.

The C.D. Moody Design/Build Team provided Grady Health Systems and the City of East Point with several design schemes to analyze in an effort to blend the 13,800 SF  facility into the downtown business district.  The structure encompasses a pre-engineered structural frame, metal roofing, brick and pre-cast concrete panel and traditional floor coverings.

Internal programs include 15 patient exam rooms, 2 O.B. exam rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 treatment rooms, 8 provider offices, x-ray procedural lab, clinical lab and pharmacy.

South DeKalb Medical Center

Project Description:

The South Dekalb Medical Center-Radiology Lab Renovation Project was awarded to C.D. Moody Construction by Brasfield and Gorrie to manage the renovation an existing 5,000 SF space that was located within the hospital. CDM's scope of work consisted of infection control, demolition, metal framing, drywall, plumbing work, mechanical work, electrical work, painting, new doors and hardware, new flooring, new millwork, new millcare, new sprinkler system, pneumatic tube station relocation and new acoustical ceilings.

This project required a heightened degree of collaboration among the construction team because of critical constraints that the project was under to finish on time. The project had to be run with pinpoint accuracy in order to meet the challenging schedule.
