Project Description:
The Carl and Mary Ware Academic Center is a three floor brick
structure that was built to match architecture of the existing
buildings on the Clark campus. The spaces include: classrooms,
auditorium, conference rooms, and a student lounge with lovely
brick pavement on the outside patio area. The lobby area, which
is open on two levels, has natural light with a main staircase
that sweeps into the main lobby. The lobby area also houses
the Carl and Mary Ware portrait as well as casework for other
pieces of art.

Project Description:
Gaines Hall (originally North Hall) was constructed in 1869 as the very first building on the Atlanta University Campus in West Atlanta. Gaines Hall is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and is located in one of the highest elevation points in the Atlanta area known as Diamond Hill.
In 1998, in order to fully comply with the Secretary of the
Interior Standards for Historic Restoration, all pertinent building
codes, inclusion of a modern HVAC system, and compliance with
the Americans with Disability Act, were satisfied. Now
the restored and renovated Gaines Hall is a state of the art
four-story, 32,000-SF dormitory and has a maximum occupancy of
262.

This project consists of renovating the chemistry building
originally constructed in 1952. The building had not been
used since the mid 1980s. The project includes the addition
of new space for instructors offices, chemistry labs,
computer labs, and the college’s information technology
department.

Project Description:
This project is a 74,000-SF is a five level new
building for Morehouse College. The building has two wings: the
one story wing includes a 308-seat auditorium, 10,000-SF conference
center and a 20 foot prefunction colonnade area, which connects
the two assembly spaces. The other wing includes a four story
faculty office, classroom style seminar and tiered lecture room,
and a state-of-the-art computer lab.

Project Description:
The Morehouse College Student Housing Project
consists of two three-story buildings for use as on-campus student
housing for the college. The project is located on approximately
two city blocks of land at the intersection of Beckwith and Parsons
Street. The building is constructed of penalized light gauge
metal structural framing with a composite metal deck. The facade
is a combination of brick and EIFS and includes an asphaltic
shingle roof.
The project includes 118 units with a total 372-bed
capacity arranged in two-and four-bedroom suites and apartments
and one bedroom studios.
Each building has a resident director office and apartment, study areas, lounges, vending alcoves, rentable storage rooms/bins, and meeting areas. There are coin-operated laundry facilities, a security office and surface parking spaces. All rooms will be wired for voice, data, and video communications. Security surveillance cameras are mounted on the exterior of each building.

Project Description: The Phase
II portion of the Poultry Research Center consisted of five buildings. Building
A, the Process/Hatchery building, is a 16,700 SF structure housing
meat processing rooms, hatchers, incubators, food prep area,
and three labs: Chemistry, Microbiology and Sensory. Building
J, the Broiler Pen House, is a 11,500 SF building containing
Experimental Rooms and a Field Lab. Buildings M and N are
Multipurpose Houses of 19,900 SF and 21,800 SF, respectively. Building
M houses 24 Poultry Rooms, and Building N houses 12 Poultry Rooms. Each
also contains a Field Lab Building P is a 500 SF combination
shop and storage building.
