Project Description:

Salem Panola Branch Library is a 18,000 square foot addition to an existing 4,000 square foot library. The building will encompass all the needs of the growing community, including meeting rooms, teen and children centers, and a much larger stacks area. The building will be LEED Certified and utilizes all the new highly efficient HVAC equipment and plumbing fixtures. Architectual accents include entrance canopies and clear story butterfly roof areas for indirect natural light. State of the art security and building monitoring have been implemented.

Construction of the library started in June 2009 and will last 8 months. The building is a steel structure, metal studs and a masonry veneer exterior.
